JOB OVERVIEW
General Building Maintenance
Clean common areas, removing trash regularly, and repairing items that are broken. Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining minor building infrastructure.

Gardening and Landscaping
Conduct basic landscape techniques, greenhouse operations; plant materials, turf grass culture; landscape construction; pest management; movement of large amounts of soil, mulch and rock in addition to plant material at the school

Tree Trimming
Conduct tree Removal; Stump Grinding; Stump Removal; Tree Trimming and Pruning.

Fence Fixing
Repair common fencing issues with a focus on tying fencing knots, re-tensioning and, where necessary, repairing electrical faults.

Clearing of Shrubs and Grass
Prune trees and shrubs; selecting the right pruning tools; dealing with overgrown neglected shrubs and how to spot problems that need corrective action.

Career Guidance Teaching
Give secondary school pupils career guidance and CV writing lessons.

Music Teaching
Give school pupils lessons in music.

Arts and Crafts Teaching
Give school pupils lessons in music and arts craft lessons (beadwork).

AREAS
Limpopo, Polokwane, Capricorn District Municipality and Mopani Municipality

SELECTION CRITIRIA
· Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35 will be eligible.
· Women and disabled persons (Hearing/Sight impediments) within the same age groups will be eligible.
· Applicants should have no contractual obligations towards other companies.
· Applicants should have South African citizenship.
· Should be available for the duration of the project and prepared to sign a Contract.
· Applicants must be residing within close proximity of the project sites in Capricorn District Municipality or Mopani Municipality

DURATION
6 months

STIPEND
1 484,16 per month (16 hours per week)

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE
4800 participants – 300 per 8 position in both Mopani and Capricorn Municipalities
· 2400 – Capricorn District Municipality
· 2400 – Mopani Municipality
